James Suckling’s senior editor, Zekun Shuai, gave great recognition to Viña Morandé’s Selección de Viñedos line.

This line, which corresponds to the Gran Reserva category within the Viña Morandé portfolio, obtained 91 points in its Sauvignon Blanc 2022; Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Carmenere 2021- of which Zekun highlighted the “”Very well-made with excellent drinkability.”

Morandé Selección de Viñedos Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Fresh herbs to the nose with some pure green guavas and green apples. Crisp, chalky and dry on the palate with fresh acidity. Good aperitif.

Morandé Selección de Viñedos Carmenere 2021

Vibrant nose full of ripe strawberries, red cherries, currants and freshly cut herbs. Juicy and fresh with soft, silky tannins and really fresh fruit. Very well-made with excellent drinkability. Full of fruit.

Morandé Selección de Viñedos Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Racy and fresh fruit with more red berries than black. Strawberries, redcurrants and a mint and eucalyptus note. Juicy and savory with a medium body and delicious salinity. Tannins are fine-grained and silky.
