Gran Reserva – Single Vineyard

Terroir & Balance

The best of our terroir. Elegance, structure, and complexity characterize this line that carefully brings together the balanced interaction of the soil, climate, variety, controlled vineyard management, and enological processes in the winery.

Sauvignon Blanc

Hand picked at our El Ensueño Vineyard in the coldest sector of Lo Ovalle in Casablanca. It was fermented in foudres and aged on its lees for unbeatable freshness along with notes of grapefruit and honey that make this an ideal Sauvignon for pairing with food.

Wine Tasting

Our winemaker Ricardo Baettig tells a little and tastes about the

Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc wine

“Winemaking is a trade, an interpretation of the grapes as well as the place they are grown. It requires knowledge, sensitivity, hard work, and patience to finally enjoy a product that dates to the origins of human culture. It is a very rewarding endeavor.”

Ricardo Baettig – Viña Morandé Enological Director
Casablanca Valley

We were the first to believe in Casablanca’s potential, and we were not mistaken. Today it is one of the most internationally recognized wine regions for the quality of its wines. Its primary geographic condition is its maritime influence, which enters from the Pacific Ocean and produces morning fog that moderates the temperatures.

Foudres

Ricardo tells us about what fudres are and their contributions to wine.
