House of Morandé

Experience & Elegance

This excellent wine is backed up by its long history. It comes from the best plots of our property in San Bernardo, located in Maipo Alto. It is a classic Bordeaux blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon with an addition of other red varieties such as Cabernet Franc.

House of Morande

As it opens up in the glass, it starts showing its great body and density. If offers a wonderful balance and a structure of very fine-grained tannins. Its ending is soft, elegant and of great persistence.

Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Carignan

VALLEY: Maipo D.O.

Terroir

Our winemaker Ricardo Baettig tells us about the Terroir of the

House of Morandé among its vineyards.

“Winemaking is a trade, an interpretation of the grapes as well as the place they are grown. It requires knowledge, sensitivity, hard work, and patience to finally enjoy a product that dates to the origins of human culture. It is a very rewarding endeavor.”

Ricardo Baettig – Viña Morandé Enological Director
Maipo Valley

Maipo is home to Chile’s greatest winemaking tradition. It has a temperate climate with a hot, dry summer. Frosts are rare in the valley, and the rainfall is concentrated between April and September.
