Selección de Viñedos

Gran Reserva

A careful selection of vineyards that allow us to obtain wines with local identity.

Carmenère

Selección de Viñedos represents our commitment to creating wines with a sense of identity of place through a careful selection of the best vineyard for each variety.
This Carmenere comes from the Romeral Vineyard in the Maipo Valley, where its clay-loam soils of alluvial origin and its Mediterranean climate generate ideal conditions for red wines with good structure. Purplish-red in color, with aromas recalling intense black fruit with notes of herbs and spices such as cinnamon and cloves. The palate stands out for its fresh flavors of red fruits with notes of tobacco and white pepper as well as its tremendous balance and elegance.

Variety: Carmenère

VALLEY: Maipo D.O.

Maipo Valley

“Winemaking is a trade, an interpretation of the grapes as well as the place they are grown. It requires knowledge, sensitivity, hard work, and patience to finally enjoy a product that dates to the origins of human culture. It is a very rewarding endeavor.”

Ricardo Baettig – Viña Morandé Enological Director
Maipo Valley

Maipo is home to Chile’s greatest winemaking tradition. It has a temperate climate with a hot, dry summer. Frosts are rare in the valley, and the rainfall is concentrated between April and September.
