07 Oct VIÑA MORANDÉ RECEIVES OUTSTANDING SCORES IN DESCORCHADOS
In addition to the excellent acknowledgments granted to House of Morandé as Best Chilean Red, Best Red Blend, and Best Maipo Andes Wine, we would also like to point out some significant scores for other varieties of our brand’s portfolio, with an outstanding performance in the 2022 version of the prestigious Descorchados Wine Guide.
Thus, the Gran Reserva line was worthy of remarkable recognition through two of its wines from the 2020 vintage: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc; both awarded 92 points. Additionally, our Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 from the Estate Reserve range achieved 90 points, positioning it as the Best Value wine for this variety. Descorchados also rated Morandé Gran Reserva Pinot Noir 2020 with 90 points, closing thus a successful performance of Morandé’s portfolio in the guide.
For the Descorchados wine guide, published annually since 1999, the well-known journalist Patricio Tapia tasted more than 1,800 Chilean wines in search of the wines that best show the diversity of our country from north to south. This consolidates Descorchados as the most respected wine publication in Chile and South America.
