Morandé Adventure: Innovation and Boldness in Every Bottle

Morandé Adventure is a wine line that undoubtedly stands out for its daring proposal. These are bold wines, made without rules. We like to call them “oenological adventures” because they aim to surprise with their diversity, innovation, and quality. With these wines, we have sought to reinterpret Chile’s winemaking heritage using less traditional grape varieties and innovative vinification and aging methods.

The portfolio consists of eight wines, each crafted to stand out for its unique character and ability to challenge consumer expectations. Take Aterciopelado, for example, a wine that pays tribute to the País grape, a rustic variety typical of the Chilean countryside. Traditionally used for everyday wines, this grape is elevated to a more elegant and complex expression, showcasing its potential to produce more substantial wines.

There’s also Bestiario, a truly groundbreaking enological concept. Made with less common varieties in Chile such as Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier, this white wine is produced like a red, opening up a new gustatory dimension. Its freshness, juiciness, and elegance break the established norms, proving that innovation knows no boundaries.

With Despechado, we explore the delicacy and honesty of Pinot Noir. This wine is fruity, fresh, and easy to drink, standing out for its simplicity and purity. On the other hand, El Padre showcases the Cabernet Franc grape, often overshadowed by the more popular Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine reveals the elegance and structure of a variety that deserves recognition for its great potential.

El Gran Petit is the small giant of the line, focusing on Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot grapes, grown in the La Moralina vineyard in the Cachapoal Valley. This wine is juicy, with a generous and abundant structure, featuring velvety, soft, and rounded tannins.

Antiguas Raíces, meanwhile, is a Mediterranean blend based on Garnacha, incorporating Syrah, Carignan, Marsanne, and Roussanne. This fruity and fresh wine demonstrates the potential of co-fermenting red and white varieties in the Maule Valley.

Tirazis, made with Syrah from cool-climate areas, is a wine of great elegance and complexity, while Colinas de Ránquil, made with the País grape, contributes to decoding the extraordinary terroirs found in Chile. It is an elegant wine with great structure and well-defined tannins.

Each wine in this line is a testament to our passion for creating something unique, with a deep sense of origin and a vision for the future.
