Viña Morandé celebrates scores at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025

The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is one of the most influential wine competitions in the world. In its latest edition, held in May this year, Viña Morandé achieved outstanding results across a range of lines and styles, with a particular emphasis on its white wines.

Leading the accolades was the Morandé Black Series Chardonnay 2023, which scored 95 points and a Gold Medal. This white from the Malleco Valley — a winegrowing area about 650 km south of Santiago, Chile — stood out as the highest-rated wine from its region.

The Vitis Única line reaffirmed its strong reputation in the competition, with its Sauvignon Blanc 2023 earning an impressive 93 points.

Two other white wines also impressed the judges, each receiving 92 points: the Morandé Selección de Viñedos Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2024, from the Casablanca Valley; and the Morandé Terrarum Patrimonial Semillón 2023, crafted from old dry-farmed vines in the Maule Valley.

This duo embodies Viña Morandé’s spirit of innovation and experimentation and is once again recognized for its uniqueness.

From the far south in the Malleco Valley, through the expansive and historic Maule and the emblematic Casablanca Valley, these award-winning wines reflect the diversity of Chilean viticulture and Viña Morandé’s vocation for crafting great wines — authentic, innovative and deeply rooted in their place of origin.
