Top 5 wines to celebrate

There is little left for this 2022, and as always, December is a month that invites us to get together and share with our loved ones. And what better than to do it with pairings that are capable of highlighting flavors and ingredients.

Here are some ideal alternatives from Viña Morandé to enjoy these holidays. This top 5 is made up of wines designed to enhance and explore new flavors and textures. Wines that show our experience and years of experimentation and audacity, which have allowed us to bring to life unprecedented wines in the industry.
I hope you enjoy them.

Freshness and balance of the Maule Valley

Pionero is one of the most recognized lines of Viña Morandé and its Sauvignon Blanc, coming from the foothills of the Andes Mountain in the Maule Valley, is a wine with an important volume on the palate, thanks to the fact that, during its aging, the wine is kept on its fine lees until bottling. It is fresh, fruity and with a tense acidity, with a balanced body and a long finish. It is a great alternative as an aperitif or with green salads. It also pairs perfectly with fish, as well as pasta and fresh cheeses.

A Pinot Noir with a terroir identity

Reflecting our pioneering and innovative spirit, the Estate Reserve line represents the vineyard’s commitment to create wines with local identity that faithfully express the characteristics of their terroirs. Thus, like Estate Reserve Pinot Noir, it is a wine with a delicate body and elegant structure, a faithful representative of the Casablanca Valley. Its good balance and intensity make it ideal to accompany fatty fish, ham, pasta and cream soups.

A classic and elegant Carmenère

Gran Reserva is Viña Morandé’s most traditional line of wines, which seeks to reflect the best of each of its terroirs. They are elegant, structured and complex wines, which carefully bring together the balanced interaction of soil, climate, variety and oenological processes. Its Carmenère variety from the San Bernardo field in the Maipo Valley seeks to deliver the best expression of the strain through a full-bodied and elegant wine. It is fruity and complex, with massive and velvety tannins. Pairs with stews, pasta, creams, white meats and young cheeses.

All the flavor of a patriarch

Elegant and with a unique character, this is the Cabernet Franc variety, the founding variety of an exceptional lineage, which has been personified for centuries in its illustrious son, Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet Franc called El Padre, has aromas of black fruits, coffee and dark chocolate. It is fresh, intense and sweet, which makes it the ideal wine to enjoy fine charcuterie, mature cheeses and lean meats.

Our House of Morandé

The wine that not only represents our hallmark but has also been chosen for the second consecutive year as the Best Iconic Wine of Chile by the prestigious magazine La Cav. House of Morandé, a classic Bordeaux blend is a faithful representative of the elegance of Alto Maipo. It is full-bodied and dense, complex and balanced, with an important tannic structure, of great finesse. Its finish is soft, elegant and of great persistence. It is ideal for toasting accompanied by red meat, ideally slow-cooked, which allows you to enjoy its aromas of red fruits such as ripe raspberry and black cherry.
